THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE...

Although Worcestershire is setting the pace for sightings of unidentified flying objects in the Midlands, Solihull is catching up fast according to an expert on the subject.

John Hanson, of Quest International, a group which records and investigates sightings of strange phenomena and who was featured in the Solihull News at the end of January, has been contacted with yet another mysterious sighting over Shirley.

It was initially sighted by a Coventry man outside his West Heath workplace on St Valentine's Day at 8pm and was still visable when he got to his Mother's house in Shirley.

Changing

The man, whose identity has not been revealed said: "I noticed a strange light in the sky over. It looked like some kind of balloon with red and yellow lights in three sections."

"When I got to Shirley I looked at the object through binoculars and it had become one large bright yellow light."

"It then changed into a changing star shape with red traces on each rough edge, before shrinking back into a yellow light."

After a brief break the man attempted to find the object again but discovered it had vanished anit did not reappear.

Unexplained

Mr Hanson said Quest International always try to discover a scientific solution to reported sightings before declaring they could be extra-terrestrial craft.

He said: "Around 50 percent of sightings can be explained as meteorites, airships, weather balloons and search lights but that still leaves 50 per cent of sightings unexplained with the truth still out there."

Anyone who thinks they have seen a UFO can contact John Hanson and Quest International on 0121 447 7091.
